Earlier Ash panels

These 75 small ash imprints, each measuring 7cm x 7cm, were the first works realised within the Ash series. Formed from fire ash collected at three farm fire sites, they initiated a wider investigation into trace, surface and renewal.

Informed by agricultural practice and the rhythms of managed land — where fields are cleared, ordered and replanted — the works register both the residue of fire and the cyclical relationship between burning, soil and growth.
