Using reclaimed pieces of farm wood in their found shapes, I marked the surfaces with oil paint and paper, echoing the irregular field patterns of our own farm — edged with dry stone walls and flowering gorse. These gestural divisions sit alongside plant ash imprints gathered from farm fires.
The works bring together two agricultural realities: the human shaping of land into fields and boundaries, and the residue of burning, where fire clears and prepares ground for renewal.
