Arts Territory Exchange
From 2017, Arminée Chahbazian (California) and I engaged in an extended exchange between Dorset, UK and California, USA. Through ongoing dialogue, we agreed on shared processes and themes, each creating parallel works within our respective landscapes. The pieces reflected our different territories while following the same material or conceptual framework.
The works were then physically exchanged — mailed across continents — and later shared digitally, extending the dialogue beyond geography. This “residency by correspondence” allowed place, process and distance to shape the collaboration.

The exchange formed part of A Stitch in Time, a major exhibition at Today Art Museum, Beijing, within Documents Today, an international triennial programme.
